Today, we celebrated Lucas' 2nd birthday. In the blink of an eye, two years have gone by since that beautiful October day when Lucas entered our life and things have never been the same. Lucas has grown and changed so much in this short time, and every day he amazes, entertains, and inspires us. Today we had a birthday party at school where Thomas the Train cupcakes were a big hit, and tonight, we celebrated with a small group of family and friends with Cuban cake and pastelitos (pastries).
Life is good.

He's adorable! Addison is turning 2 next week, and all at once time slows down. I rewind to the NICU and that awful fall of uncertainty and questions. Then her giggles and squeals pull me back and I'm so glad we're where we are.

lucas is pretty amazing as are his parents. happy happy birthday to... is it king? or prince? lucas. such great pictures. how can it be 2 yrs? wasn't it just yesterday? jim and i moved but our emails are still the same.
